

Using two colours create a tessellation
If all the class have made a couple of kites from
different coloured rectangles then they can experiment with combining all
the kites to cover the classroom floor. It is not as easy as it looks!
Children will first want to make the octagon (see below). Noting that all the kites of the same colour point
the same way helps children to add more and more correctly.
