Each Match Tip Pattern can be described using numbers.

For example this pattern with 6 matches can be recorded as (3, 2, 2 ) (3, 2, 2)

The first bracket describes the meeting points where “Heads” meet.

There is one meeting point where 3 heads meet, There are two meeting points where 2 Heads meet. So this is recorded as (3,2,2)

The second bracket describes the meeting points where “Tails” meet (also 3,2,2)
