Pathways
Do you remember the game where with a pencil you had
to draw a shape in one continuous movement without taking the pencil off the
paper. The same activity can be played with matches with the added advantage
that you can keep on rearranging the matches until you get a correct solution.
Imagine that the matches are arrows with the head of the match pointing in the
direction you are to travel. In this diagram made with 8 matches you can not
get all the way around the one way system.
But
if we arrange the matches like this then we can travel all the way round the
diagram. Then we call the arrangement a Pathway

Make
these into patterns into Pathways ….one way systems that can be travelled completely.

Harder Pathways
In the pathways we have made so far you can start anywhere and finish
anywhere.
Here are some harder puzzles where there are only two possible places
to start or finish the one way route. Try and arrange these patterns so they
can make a Pathway.
