Patterns with circles made from coloured paper

Pattern made from interleaving rhombi

Take circles of three different colours and fold them into rhombi. You will need two of each colour to make the hexagon.

Then tuck the rhombi inside each other like this to make a hexagon

Step 1 First the blue inside the red.

Step 2 Then the red inside the yellow.

Step 3 Continue in this way and create this hexagon by interleaving six rhombi.

Step 4 Combine many such hexagons to create this pattern.
